Cal (that’s short for Calliope) has moved around a lot. I mean A LOT. Her mom follows the Faire circuit (as in Renaissance) and Cal has to tag along. When they roll into Asheville, Cal knows this place won’t be any different from those last places they called ‘home’. But, she’s wrong. This time there is something different and it may just be that guy with the green lipstick. His name is Eliot and technically it’s not lipstick, just a chemical reaction between his gum and the pyrotechnic powders he was using a few minutes ago. Ok, that still sounds weird, doesn’t it? Anyway, Cal and Eliot fit together in ways neither of them expected. But, what will happen when the Faire winds down for the summer? Told in alternating chapters from Cal and Eliot’s perspective this summer romance is fun and an easy read. Check out Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler’s Scrambled Eggs at Midnight.
